 Flat lands of tall, vivid green grasses extend way beyond the horizon, the landscape marred only by the occasional cedar or hackberry tree. Perhaps settlement could be made here in constructed wooden huts of some sort but beware not to disturb the coteries of prairie dogs or the herd of pronghorn antelope. The climate varies, rarely cold but not always a swelteringly hot, dry heat. The Prairies can, however, be quite unpleasant when one of their frequent thunderstorms strike. |
